Why the Dräger X-plore 8300
The X-plore 8300 is a continuous-flow, battery-driven blower that filters the air and delivers it to the headpiece. Because the blower supplies the air, the wearer breathes without the resistance of a conventional filter mask. It is part of the Dräger X-plore 8000 range and shares its headpieces, hoses and carrying options.

Dräger quotes 6 to 10 hours of operation depending on device settings and configuration. The built-in lithium-ion battery reaches more than 80% charge in about 2 hours and a full charge in about 4 hours.
Does the X-plore 8300 protect against gases or vapours?
No. The X-plore 8300 uses a particle filter only (X-plore 8300 Filter P R SL). For gas and vapour hazards you need a different respiratory solution, and our team can recommend one for your process.
Is the X-plore 8300 washable and can it be decontaminated?
Yes. It is rated IP65 with the filter and hose fitted, and IP67 with the two washing plugs fitted to the blower inlet and hose connection. Dräger states it can be machine washed and cleaned in a decon shower during operation.
