    What is the difference between SCBA and PAPR?

    SCBA carries its own air supply for oxygen-deficient or IDLH environments. PAPR uses a battery-powered blower to filter ambient air — ideal for pharma, paint, and chemical environments where oxygen levels are safe but airborne contaminants are present.

    Which Honeywell respirator is recommended for pharmaceutical cleanrooms?

    For pharma cleanrooms, the North 7700 half-face respirator with P100 cartridges is widely used for API handling. For higher comfort, the Duraflow PAPR with hood is preferred. We recommend based on your specific contaminant, OEL, and cleanroom classification.

    What is the shelf life of North respirator cartridges?

    Unopened North cartridges have a shelf life of 5 years from manufacture date. Once opened, replace based on the ESLI indicator or your industrial hygienist change schedule — typically every shift in high-concentration environments.
